Walking and cycling on the Northeast Pioneers Greenway
Learn about the Gateway–Raleigh walking and cycling corridor when researching life around Edison.
The City of Winnipeg describes the Northeast Pioneers Greenway as a walking and cycling path between Gateway and Raleigh, running from Knowles to Nairn. It is a useful corridor to investigate when exploring the wider area around 377 Edison.
Start by identifying the section relevant to your own trip. You may want a short recreational walk, a longer ride or a connection toward another destination. The entire corridor does not need to become your route.
Check the approach from your starting point as carefully as the path itself, including crossings and any temporary work. A mapped trail connection is not a promise of a completely separated journey from your front door. Once you have tried a suitable section, you can decide how it fits into your everyday outdoor routine.
